Simple Eotd

I been using this palette everyday since I bought it :) I loVe all of the shades and find it very easy to go from day to night with this palette. Today I did a really simple look using three of these shades.

MAC Haul with swatches

Went to MAC today to check out the hey, sailor! collection but I didn't like anything except the body oil and it turned out that it was sold out :/ I came home with 3 lipsticks instead... Brave, Syrup and Chatterbox.

Wet and Wild Nail Polish

Bought this nail polish in Wet Cement. I'm loving this color! This polish comes with a "manicurve brush" The brush is really flat and thin. When I apply the polish to my nail it spreads the color evenly and it reduces streaks. I'm very satisfied with this polish :) What's your favorite nail polish shade?

Natural Palette

I bought this palette because I'm a sucker for neutrals I lOVe, love, LOVE neutrals. This palette was $6.50 at forever21 and has 10 eyeshdows. I guess it's a knock off of Urban Decay's Naked palette. I passed on the Naked Palette craze, they're beautiful shades bUt I feel that I didn't need another palette of neutral colors...anyway for the price the color pay off is fair and decent. It comes with 2 matte eyeshdows, and one thats has a finish that's comparable to MAC's lustre eyeshdows. The rest of the eyeshadows are shimmery shades. The palette also comes with an eyeliner pencil in black and a double ended mini brush. Sponge tip and angled brush.

Comic Art (do not read if you are bothered by nudity)

My husband painted this today with the collaboration of his artist. This is an interpretation of Frank Cho's art. He is one of my husband's favorite artist.

Frank Cho is a comic book writer and illustrator. This painting kind of reminded me of the girls that the Balm uses on their products.

Has anyone ever tried these?

Shopping My Makeup Stash

Today I looked in my makeup stash for lost and forgotten products. In my search I found....
Cargo matte bronzer in medium. I liked this bronzed because you can build the intensity and it's easier to make it look "natural"
NARS cream blush in Penny Lane. This blush is a baby Pink blush that goes well with my skin tone also I like using it on my lips :)
NARS eyeshadow in Ashes to Ashes one of my favorite taupe eyeshdows. I love to put this shadow over MAC backtrack eyeliner because the color changes to a darker shade of grey
Inglot eyeshadow #33 this shadow has major color pay off! I remember I use to line my bottom lashline with this for a pop of color.
Dianne Brill lip lingerie in Satin Sash. This is the only Dianne Brill item I own and I love it! The color is a shade I think will look great on every skin tone because it's a natural color.
MAC lipstick in Fabby. I would of never discovered this if it wasn't for my husband. He bought it for me because he said he never seen a purple lipstick before... At first I was like huh?? But he's right! This lipstick is a purple/mauvy pink color with gold sheen. :) In the end it's my favorite for 2 reasons-the fact that my husband picked it out on his own and because of the color.
Have you guys been using any lost or forgotten products??

Nars blush and eyeshdow.

Penny Lane blush and Ashes to Ashes with a primer. The top swatch is of Nars eyeshdow no primer.

Cargo bronzer Inglot #33. I couldn't take a good swatch of the bronzer so here's a picture of me wearing it as a blush and a close up of it in the pan.

Heaven on Earth (pic heavy)

My husband and I went to dinner to our favorite restaurant today-Bottega Louie in downtown Los Angeles. The food is divine! And the desserts...well here's some pictures of what they had today...

Raspberry brownie

Blueberry crumble, chocolate peanut butter...hazelnut brownie

Fruit torte, stuffed macaroons

The green one is made with pistachio

These have rose petals on them :)

Macaroons

Don't know what these are but that they're shimmery and pretty :)

These look like they're made with colored sand

Loew Cornell in my makeup kit?

Last summer I was in Michael's buying frames and I remembered Enkore from youtube, had made a video on Loew Cornell paint brushes for makeup application....anyway long story short-I bought the Maxine mop 270. :)

I'm very glad I did because I adore this brush! This brush is almost identical to MAC's 239 only the head of the brush is slightly wider and a bit longer.

I use this brush for shading, highlighting, my crease, and even for blending. This brush also packs on the color very well just like my MAC 242 only it's not so big.

Pros: soft bristles, very versatile, natural hair, easy to clean. Works well with cream products.
Cons: honestly the only con thing I can think of is that the handle might be too long for some. Other than this-this brush is fantasTic!!!

In my makeup bag

Lately I been using these products for my everyday makeup. I use Maybelline Super Stay 24hour foundation on a daily basis. It's a full coverage foundation and it really does NoT budge! MAC Prep and Prime highlighter in Radiant Rose, I use this around my nose and inside the corner of my eyes to brighten up :) Scandal Eyes mascara has a natural finish, it gives volume and length but not over the top. Two coats of this and I'm set. For eyeshadow I been using my Stila Natural Eyes Palette. This palette has 10 eye shadows that allow you to create a natural look or add some drama to your eyes with the darker shades.

Swatches of the stila natural eyes palette and NARS Taos blush.
Taos blush is a coral, red with gold shimmer. I love that this blush makes me look naturally flushed.
For lips I been using my chanel lipgloss #68 a Hot Pink, coral color with gold flecks. I like that it's not sticky and non drying.

My Facial Cleanser

I been using this to wash my face and remove my makeup at the end of the day and I must say that this product is grEat! I love that it doesn't have a strong scent and that it doesn't break me out. My skin does not dry out, or break out. A little goes a long way in my opinion, I've had this trial size bottle for a month now and it's not even half ways. I will definitely be repurchasing this cleanser. What's your favorite facial cleanser?

Update: Too Faced Primed and Poreless Powder

I been using this to set my foundation and while it does a good job at "setting" there's a few things I don't like. First, the scent of the powder makes me cough and makes my eyes water. Second, the powder is sooo--- fine even with the built in sifter it gets everywhere. Even when you have it on your brush it's easy to get some on your hairline/clothes/lashes... Third, the powder is translucent and made to adjust to any skintone but I've noticed that I have to make sure to blend it in well because just sweeping it on my face will leave me with little white spots on face. In the end this product is excellent for setting, but is extremely messy. Do you guys have a favorite setting powder?
