December Favorites

Urban Decay De Slick: I find that this doesn't make my face completely matte but it does help. I use this on my T-zone before and after I do my makeup.

Narciso Rodriguez Perfume: This smells delicious! When I spray this I think of a cold, snowy night and dollops of fresh whip cream....ha! I'm  crazy over this scent!!

CHI Keratin-Leave-in Conditioner: I use this on wet hair and concentrate it on my ends. I love that it detangles my curly hair and keeps my ends hydrated. Careful not to spray too much because it gets heavy and kills the volume in your hair. Well, at least for me it did.

Urban Decay Primer Potion-Greed

I finally jumped on the bandwagon!! I just discovered Urban Decay's eye base! I.bought it for $8.97 at Nordstrom Rack and have been wearing it everyday since then :) I got it in Greed (shimmery Gold) because of the shimmery finish it works really well with non matte eyeshadows. The texture is light weight, almost mousse like and dries quickly. It also intensifies the color of the eyeshadows. The applicator is angled and fits around the curves of the eye. The only thing I'm regretting is not buying the original primer potion because at $8.97, you can't pass this up! What's your favorite eye primer?

The pigmentation is great and the texture is really smooth. The only color that was not very pigmented was the Salmon shade (next to the Orange)

NYX Matte Lipstick

I bought this lipstick at Ulta in Butter. This is a matte formula, but I find it to be semi matte and very moisturizing. I actually appreciate this because I don't really like matte lipsticks. The color is a Brown Taupe and does not look so pretty in the tube but once swatched (to me at least) it resembled MAC's Chai lip glass. I figured I'd buy it just for that reason :) The packaging is simple and sleek, traditional twist up and down tube. There's also no scent to these lipsticks. Overall I give this lipstick and A- I would grade it and A but I think it's misleading to have matte printed on the tube and the product not being able to live up to the description. I'm sure matte lipstick lovers would be disappointed.
$5.99 at Ulta

Miracle in a Bottle!!

I've never been a fan of MaryKay never even bought anything-ever... This past week
I attended a Mary Kay party and bought their eye makeup remover. The representative used a cotton pad with a bit of makeup remover and pressed it against my cousins eye and instantly removed her heavy eye makeup. It was so easy! Her eye makeup just melted off! No tugging, or rubbing. I was so impressed I had to buy it :) It's oil free and has no fragrance to it. I love that it doesn't irritate my eyes either orale them water. All I do is shake the bottle and use a cotton pad to remove my mascara. I've noticed that after I wash my face my eye area feels silky and hydrated. I highly recommend this product to everyone, especially those with sensitive eyes.

This is the way the liquid looks before you shake it :)

I can happily say that this makeup remover HAS replaced my use to be holy grail, Neutrogena's oil-free eye makeup remover.
What's your favorite eye makeup remover?

Lipstick I'm loving

I'm loving this shade! The color is a nude-pinky warm color and is a matte finish. It's a bit drying so I put on lip balm before I apply it for a smooth application. This is one of my many favorite nudes by far....the staying power is good, it doesn't wash me out ( I'm nc25 ) aNd it can be used during the day for a simple "no makeup" look and then pair it with smokey eyes for a night out. I love wearing this with Purple Haze eyeshadow and Warm Soul blush! Both by MAC.

Mark Glow Baby Glow

This is mark's Glow Baby Glow Luxe lip gloss in Petal Luxe. The color is a bright Pink with very noticeable Pink glitter that blends in perfectly with the color. Once applied the color looks like a bubble him Pink, it feels smooth, light and moisturizing. It does have a slight minty scent, and the glitter does not show up on your lips. Overall for the price it's a good product but enough... I been wearing it for 3 days and it already looks like I'm running low :/

My Favorite Beauty Product

Yesterday I was running late and forgot to apply blush to my face :( the whoooole day I felt like my face looked dull and like it was missing something... :/ I never realized how important blush is to my makeup routine and how much I love it! The right shade of blush can brighten up your face, add a "natural" color and make you look younger! Here are some of my favorites.... What is your favorite blush?

Eversun by MAC: the most loveliest peachy bronze color with gold shimmer. I love wearing this in the summer when I'm tanned.

Ambering Rose by MAC: this shade is a deep red bronze. I use it lightly to give me a "natural flush"

Orgasm by Nars: This color is a amazingly beautiful!! Bright wearable Pink with shimmer. The shimmer is really noticeable in the pan but once you applied it's so lovely :) it goes on smooth no chunky glitter/shimmery mess. Just pure awesomeness:) plus you can easily build up the color to your likeness.

Pennylane by Nars: A baby Pink color that goes so.perfect with my complexion. This is a cream blush so I use this for when I want a dewy finish.

Natural Palette

I bought this palette because I'm a sucker for neutrals I lOVe, love, LOVE neutrals. This palette was $6.50 at forever21 and has 10 eyeshdows. I guess it's a knock off of Urban Decay's Naked palette. I passed on the Naked Palette craze, they're beautiful shades bUt I feel that I didn't need another palette of neutral colors...anyway for the price the color pay off is fair and decent. It comes with 2 matte eyeshdows, and one thats has a finish that's comparable to MAC's lustre eyeshdows. The rest of the eyeshadows are shimmery shades. The palette also comes with an eyeliner pencil in black and a double ended mini brush. Sponge tip and angled brush.

Comic Art (do not read if you are bothered by nudity)

My husband painted this today with the collaboration of his artist. This is an interpretation of Frank Cho's art. He is one of my husband's favorite artist.

Frank Cho is a comic book writer and illustrator. This painting kind of reminded me of the girls that the Balm uses on their products.

Has anyone ever tried these?
